Tell us about your company and what you specialise in?
Deakin-White is an independent Real Estate company that serves Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire & Buckinghamshire. We deal with residential sales & lettings, commercial sales & lettings and land and new homes.
What do you think the future holds for the property market?
Very positive. The property industry has been open since lockdown one and the market has been very buoyant. During the pandemic and series of lockdowns I think people have re-evaluated their living situation and priorities. The help and support from the government for first time buyers and home movers is proving to be very helpful, and I can only see things improving and the market staying very positive.
What advice can you give a client that is looking to buy their first home?
We have a fantastic first time buyers guide that we are happy to share (available here). It’s a 16 page document with all the information any first time buyer should need. Now is a great opportunity for first time buyers with the stamp duty holidays and nil bands.
What advice can you give someone looking to buy their first rental property?
Sometimes Googling everything isn’t always best – I always advise people to speak to a property professional – a member of our team can help. There can also be major tax implications so they should also seek professional tax advice.
